Am I wrong or is Errol Flynn the absolute worst actor? I mean even for the time period and taking into account the popular (over)acting style of the day, Flynn is pitiful in this clip. The other actors here, all working within the same goofy, 30s Hollywood confines, seem to be putting in much more accomplished performances. Its almost as if Flynn has no training or experience whatsoever.\r\n\r\nTo be fair, I haven't seen this film outside of this scene. I also have not seen any other Errol Flynn films but based on his performance in this scene, I'm ready to write him off.\r\n\r\nNow I will say, this film looks like it could be a lot of fun. Enjoyable in the way DeMille's Samson and Delilah or some other period epic from the 30s-40s is. I wouldn't say that Flynn's amateurish line readings would put me off from his films entirely.
